Museum Passport
Registered conference participants will receive a Museum Passport Postcard allowing them free or reduced admission and other discounts at museums and cultural institutions in the Albany area. So extend your stay to take advantage of this opportunity to visit the organizations of your peers and enjoy the art, history and culture of New York’s Capital District!
In an effort to encourage conference participants to visit museums and historic sites in the greater Albany area, please consider joining our “Museum Passport” program. This program will identify cultural institutions in the conference area that are open and offering benefits to attendees. Information on participating Museum Passport organizations will be distributed to all conference participants and will be available here on the conference website Benefits can include, free or reduced admission costs and gift shop discounts.

The Albany Aqua Ducks & Trolleys, an amphibious tour and trolley tour company, operates in New York State’s Capital Region and features historic tours of the Capital City of Albany. The Ducks offer unique, educational and fun-filled tours. In Albany, see the historic sites and then Splash into the Hudson River for a mariner’s view of the city’s skyline and others who call the Hudson “home” including the USS Slater and Dutch Apple Cruises. The Aqua Ducks are offering conference participants with a $5 off of an Albany Aqua Duck tour.

Open Sunday April 22 from 1-5pm and Tuesday, April 24 from 12noon-4pm. Crailo is offering conference participants a reduced admission rate of $4 when they present their museum passport. The museum is featuring the exhibition A Sweet an Alien Land: Colony of the Dutch in the Hudson River Valley… featuring “Keeping Order: a Reenactment of a Fort Orange Court Record.” This exhibit was created for the quadricentennial and includes engaging and varied exhibit techniques that encourage visitors to discover the rich heritage of the 17th c. Dutch in the Hudson River Valley.

The museum is offering free Museum admission to conference participants who present their Museum Passport when visiting, as well as a 10% discount off of gift shop purchases. The Museum is featuring the following exhibits and programs: Science Discovery Demos at 12:30 & 1pm; Planetarium Shows at 1, 2 & 3pm; FETCH! Lab activities at 1-2:30pm; Hidden Power Demos at 2:30-3:30pm.
